About Client
A non-profit membership organization serving thousands of member businesses, partners and external stakeholders. The organization provides business support services, advisory, market research and dispute resolution, and issues official documentation that members rely on to trade. Its work depends on trust. Every certificate it issues and every approval it grants has to be defensible late
The challenges
- Members could not serve themselves
- Applications, renewals, attestations and certificate requests ran through manual handoffs. A member who wanted to know where a request had reached had to ask someone
- Content lived in several places at once
- The same information was published separately to the website, the member portal and partner channels, then maintained separately in each. Marketing and communications teams spent their time duplicating work rather than producing it.
- Documents had no single home
- Member records and official trade documents sat across systems, so producing a complete, provable history of a single document meant assembling it by hand.
- Approvals were manual
- Every approval depended on someone remembering to act, and the record of who approved what, under what authority, lived in email.
- Backend systems were disconnected from the member experience
- Member data held in the CRM did not reach the channels members actually used, so outreach could not be targeted and cross-sell had no mechanism behind it.
What IGNEK delivered
- Content Management System
- Centralized content governance across every channel. One team now publishes to the website, the member portal and partner channels from a single source, without duplicating work or letting versions drift apart. Non-technical staff manage content directly, so routine changes no longer queue behind development work.
- Document Management
- A single source of truth for member and trade documents. Every document carries a complete, provable history: who submitted it, who approved it, under what authority, when, and what it said at that moment. For an organization that issues official documentation, that audit chain is the product, not a feature of it.
- Workflow Automation
- Manual approvals and handoffs replaced with governed workflows. Requests route automatically, status is visible to the member rather than available on request, and no approval depends on someone remembering to act.
- Enterprise Integration
- Connected to Siebel and other backend systems over REST APIs, so member data held in core systems reaches the channels members actually use. Targeted outreach and cross-sell became possible because the data finally arrived where the decision is made.
- Personalized Digital Experiences
- Tailored journeys for different member segments. Members, partners and staff each see the services, documents and content relevant to them, drawn from the same governed source, under one identity and one set of access rules.
